Kentucky High School Basketball - Mason County trounced by Montgomery County

The Mason County Royals basketball squad (Maysville, KY), was crushed 82-42 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY)

With the victory, Montgomery County advances its record to 13-8 on the year. The Indians host Powell County (Stanton, KY) to meet the Pirates in a non-league battle on Monday, January 27. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 11-5. Powell County lost 61-52 in their recent non-league battle against Knott County Central (Hindman, KY)

The Royals now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Augusta for a District 39 battle on Wednesday, January 29. Mason County will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 76-70 non-league win over Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 11-4.
