In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Nicholas County Grizzlies basketball team scored a good 81-73 triumph over the Summers County Bobcats.
The Grizzlies (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Red Devils go into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Oak Hill topped Riverside (Belle, WV), 57-50, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bobcats battle the James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) in a Coalfield AA contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Summers County will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Mavericks go into the contest with a 8-2 record after their 53-38 league loss to WestSide (Clear Fork, WV).
