Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors (Damascus, GA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles (Albany, GA), 61-58 in a league match.
With the victory, Southwest Georgia Academy advances its record to 10-8 on the year. The Warriors travel to Grace Christian Academy (Bainbridge, GA) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Monday, January 27. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-11. Grace Christian Academy won 60-41 in their recent league match against Fullington Academy (Pinehurst, GA)
The Eagles now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southland Academy for a GIAA AA Region 3 match on Tuesday, January 28. Sherwood Christian Academy will face a Raiders squad coming off a 62-51 league loss to Southwest Georgia Academy (Damascus, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 10-8.
