Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA), 2-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Rio Mesa moves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA) to clash with the Chargers in a test on Monday, January 27. The Chargers come into the test with a record of 1-0. Dos Pueblos 2-2 in their recent league test against San Marcos (Santa Barbara, CA)

The Royals now sport a 3-2 record.
