The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Bucksport Golden Bucks (Bucksport, ME) and the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), observed Bucksport's basketball team knock off Piscataquis by a score of 40-23.

The Golden Bucks (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME). The Lynx come into the C North challenge with a 13-1 record. In their last challenge, Mattanawcook prevailed over Dexter (Dexter, ME), 57-29, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Penquis Valley Patriots (Milo, ME) in a C North challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Piscataquis will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record.
