In Saturday's non-league test, the Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA), by a score of 43-24.
Next, the Jaguars encounter the North Oconee Titans (Bogart, GA) in a AAAA Region 8 test, on Monday, January 27. Cedar Shoals will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Titans come into the test with a 20-1 record after their 55-11 league win over Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, GA).
The Gladiators (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Apalachee (Winder, GA). The Wildcats come into the AAAAA Region 8 test with a 4-17 record. In their last test, Apalachee went down by Loganville (Loganville, GA), 56-33, in a league test.
