The Monroe County Tigers basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Excel Panthers to 17 in the Tigers league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now possess a 4-14 record. They play next when they host Flomaton for a 3A Area 2 game on Monday, January 27. Monroe County will play a Hurricanes team coming off a 45-27 non-league loss to Georgiana (Georgiana, AL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Excel falls to 3-16 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Millry (Millry, AL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league game on Monday, January 27. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 0-12.
