The Waukomis Chiefs (Waukomis, OK) basketball edged the host Garber Wolverines (Garber, OK), 44-39 in Saturday's league bout.
The Chiefs now possess a 16-1 record. They play next when they travel to Oklahoma Bible for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. Waukomis will play a Trojans team coming off a 59-25 non-league win over Frontier (Red Rock, OK). The Trojans record now stands at 19-0.
With the loss, Garber falls to 12-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Pond Creek-Hunter (Pond Creek, OK) to play the Panthers in a Skeltur bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 5-12. Pond Creek-Hunter lost 42-29 in their recent league bout against Dover (Dover, OK)
