The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Haralson County Rebels (Tallapoosa, GA) and the visiting Mt. Zion Eagles (Mt. Zion, GA), observed Haralson County's basketball team overwhelm Mt. Zion by a margin of 49-27.

The Rebels (3-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Model (Rome, GA). The Blue Devils come into the A D1 Region 6 challenge with a 16-4 record. In their last challenge, Model was trounced by Heard County (Franklin, GA), 58-35, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Bowdon Red Devils (Bowdon, GA) in a A D2 Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Mt. Zion will attempt to better on its 2-14 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 61-31 league win over Elite Scholars Academy (Jonesboro, GA).
