In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Monroe Golden Tornadoes basketball team scored a big 78-41 triumph over the Terrell County Greenwave.
The Golden Tornadoes (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Westover (Albany, GA). The Patriots go into the AAA Region 1 contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Westover smashed Terrell County (Dawson, GA), 39-28, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Greenwave battle the Pataula Charter Academy Panthers (Edison, GA) in a A D2 Region 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Terrell County will attempt to better on its 7-11 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 4-12 record after their 57-31 league loss to Seminole County (Donalsonville, GA).
