North Carolina High School Basketball - Scotland toppled by Hoke County

January 25, 2025: Laurinburg, NC 28352

Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), 53-33 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Hoke County upgrades its record to 5-5 on the year. The Bucks host Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 5-3. Pine Forest lost 44-28 in their recent league battle against Overhills (Spring Lake, NC)

The Fighting Scots now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union Pines for a non-league battle on Friday, January 31. Scotland will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 48-38 non-league loss to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 6-4.
