Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX) and the host Needville Bluejays (Needville, TX), saw Columbia's soccer squad hold off Needville by a count of 1-0.

The Roughnecks (5-4) will now prepare for their match against Brazosport (Freeport, TX). The Exporters come into the 4A Region 3 District 21 match with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Brazosport tipped Almeta Crawford (Rosharon, TX), 4-0, in a league match.

The Bluejays now sport a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sweeny for a 4A Region 3 District 21 match on Thursday, January 30.
