Florida High School Basketball - Cardinal Mooney holds off Sarasota

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Cardinal Mooney Cougars basketball team scored a close 47-44 triumph over the Sarasota Sailors.
The Cougars (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Admiral Farragut (St. Petersburg, FL). The BlueJackets go into the non-league contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Admiral Farragut nipped Lakeside Christian (Clearwater, FL), 54-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Sailors confront the IMG Academy Ascenders (Bradenton, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Sarasota will attempt to better on its 12-4 season record.
