Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks (Chester, MT) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Box Elder Bears (Box Elder, MT), 61-57 in a league bout.
With the win, Chester-Joplin-Inverness upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Hawks host Big Sandy (Big Sandy, MT) to clash with the Pioneers in a C District 9 bout on Saturday, February 12. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 11-2.
Next up, the Bears clash with the North Star Knights (Rudyard, MT) in a C District 9 bout, on Friday, January 28. Box Elder will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 59-48 league win over Turner (Turner, MT).
