New York High School Basketball - Amherst Central trounces Hamburg

The Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY) basketball crushed the host Hamburg Bulldogs (Hamburg, NY), 82-47 in Thursday's league test.
The Tigers (13-2) will now prepare for their test against Lockport (Lockport, NY). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 9-5 record. In their last test, Lockport walloped Kenmore West (Buffalo, NY), 69-45, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they travel to Sweet Home for a Section 6 Erie County II test on Wednesday, February 1. Hamburg will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 78-50 non-league loss to Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 0-14.
