Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL), 65-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Belleville East upgrades its record to 21-3 on the season. The Lancers host Cahokia (Cahokia, IL) to play the Comanches in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Comanches go into the bout with a record of 6-16.

Next up, the Warriors play the O'Fallon Panthers (O'Fallon, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Granite City will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 41-39 league loss to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL).
