In Thursday's non-league match, the host Citronelle Wildcats basketball team scored a tight 50-47 triumph over the Chickasaw Chieftains.
In their next game, the Wildcats meet the LeFlore Rattlers (Mobile, AL) in a 5A Area 2 match, on Tuesday, January 31. Citronelle will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Rattlers enter the match with a 15-6 record after their 65-49 league loss to St. Paul's Episcopal (Mobile, AL).
With the defeat, Chickasaw moves to 8-13 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL) to meet the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 1 match on Friday, January 27.
