The Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA) basketball nipped the host Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA), 59-54 in Thursday's league test.

The Tigers (8-14) will now prepare for their test against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA). The Indians go into the AAA Region 7 test with a 4-18 record.

The Dragons now own a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lumpkin County for a AAA Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 31. Pickens will encounter a Indians squad coming off a 71-46 league loss to Gilmer (Ellijay, GA). The Indians record now stands at 4-18.
