The Emerson Waldorf Gnomes basketball team (Chapel Hill, NC), dropped 36-24 in Thursday's league battle with the host Iron Academy Swordsmen (Raleigh, NC)
The Swordsmen now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Howard for a CAASC Triangle battle on Friday, January 27. Iron Academy will confront a Eagles team coming off a 54-52 league loss to Mount Zion Christian Academy (Durham, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 10-5.
The Gnomes (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Cresset Christian Academy (Durham, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Cresset Christian Academy dropped by Falcon Christian Academy (Falcon, NC), 84-52, in a non-league battle.
