Ephrata Mountaineers (Ephrata, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Solanco Golden Mules (Quarryville, PA), 57-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ephrata upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Manheim Central (Manheim, PA) to play the Barons in a Lancaster-Lebanon 2 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Barons come into the bout with a record of 14-2. Manheim Central won 61-44 in their recent non-league bout against Garden Spot (New Holland, PA)

Next up, the Golden Mules play the Susquehannock Warriors (Glen Rock, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Solanco will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 52-33 league win over Dover (Dover, PA).
