The Heatly Hornets (Troy, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Germantown Clippers (Germantown, NY), 44-40 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Hornets (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Waterford-Halfmoon (Waterford, NY). The Fordians go into the non-league test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Waterford-Halfmoon got by Cambridge (Cambridge, NY), 74-48, in a league test.
The Clippers now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Cairo-Durham for a Section 2 Patroon test on Friday, January 27. Germantown will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 56-40 non-league loss to Galway (Galway, NY). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-9.
