Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Webster Bearcats (Webster, SD), 62-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Groton upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD) to clash with the Huskies in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Elk Point-Jefferson won 71-54 in their recent non-league bout against Tri-Valley (Colton, SD)

Next up, the Bearcats clash with the West Central Trojans (Hartford, SD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Webster will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 59-29 non-league win over Parker (Parker, SD).
