Hermitage Hermits (Hermitage, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host West Side Christian Warriors (El Dorado, AR), 47-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hermitage upgrades its record to 2-14 on the season. The Hermits travel to Strong (Strong, AR) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A Region 8 game on Friday, January 27. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 2-4. Strong lost 68-35 in their recent league game against Nevada (Rosston, AR)

With the defeat, West Side Christian moves to 8-5 on the year. The Warriors host Riverdale Academy (Coushatta, LA) to face the Rebels in a non-league game on Thursday, February 2. The Rebels enter the game with a record of 4-6.
