The Hinton Blackhawks basketball team (Hinton, IA), was overwhelmed 78-37 in Thursday's league battle with the host South O'Brien Wolverines (Paullina, IA)
The Wolverines now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gehlen Catholic for a War Eagle battle on Friday, January 27. South O'Brien will confront a Jays team coming off a 65-31 league win over Trinity Christian (Hull, IA). The Jays record now stands at 12-5.
The Blackhawks (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA). The Hawks come into the War Eagle battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was overwhelmed by Boyden-Hull (Hull, IA), 57-50, in a non-league battle.
