The Imperial Tigers basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the visiting Southwest EC Eagles to 38 in the Tigers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Tigers now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holtville for a Desert contest on Friday, January 27. Imperial will battle a Vikings team coming off a 66-59 league loss to Calipatria (Calipatria, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 5-13.

The Eagles (2-20) will now prepare for their contest against Valhalla (El Cajon, CA). The Norsemen come into the non-league contest with a 14-9 record. In their last contest, Valhalla prevailed over Grossmont (El Cajon, CA), 58-54, in a league contest.
