Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR), 45-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Salem Academy upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Crusaders host Santiam (Mill City, OR) to play the Wolverines in a 2A Tri-River bout on Friday, January 27. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Santiam won 60-56 in their recent league bout against Western Christian (Salem, OR)

Next up, the Trojans play the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Friday, January 27. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 63-54 league loss to Colton (Colton, OR).
