In Thursday's non-league match, the host Matawan Regional Huskies basketball team scored a good 67-59 triumph over the Long Branch Green Wave.
In their next game, the Huskies meet the Brick Memorial Mustangs (Brick, NJ) in a non-league match, on Saturday, January 28. Matawan Regional will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 16-9 record after their 55-46 league win over Toms River South (Toms River, NJ).
With the defeat, Long Branch moves to 3-14 on the year. The Green wave travel to Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ) to meet the Hornets in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 31.
