Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Penncrest nips Marple Newtown

Penncrest Lions (Media, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), 43-40 in a league bout.
With the victory, Penncrest upgrades its record to 4-13 on the campaign. The Lions host Radnor (Radnor, PA) to play the Raptors in a Central bout on Saturday, January 28. The Raptors come into the bout with a record of 17-0. Radnor won 64-41 in their recent league bout against Lower Merion (Ardmore, PA)
Next up, the Fightin' Tigers play the Strath Haven Panthers (Wallingford, PA) in a Central bout, on Saturday, January 28. Marple Newtown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 56-46 league loss to Harriton (Rosemont, PA).
