Sheldon Panthers (Sheldon, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Miami Eagles (Amoret, MO), 50-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Sheldon upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Panthers host Exeter (Exeter, MO) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-10.

Next up, the Eagles play the Hume Hornets (Hume, MO) in a Golden Valley Vernon bout, on Monday, January 30. Miami will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 48-29 non-league loss to Harrisonville (Harrisonville, MO).
