The Midland Trail Patriots basketball team (Hico, WV), dropped 55-39 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV)

The Grizzlies now own a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league test on Friday, January 27. Nicholas County will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 54-41 non-league loss to Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 7-5.

The Patriots now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sherman for a non-league test on Friday, January 27. Midland Trail will encounter a Tide squad coming off a 78-41 non-league win over Hannan (Ashton, WV). The Tide record now stands at 7-7.
