West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Montevideo Thunderhawks (Montevideo, MN), 55-46 in a league bout.

With the win, West Central Area upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Knights travel to Staples-Motley (Staples, MN) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 6-5.

Next up, the Thunderhawks play the Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) in a AA Section 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Montevideo will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Lakers go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 67-45 league loss to Litchfield (Litchfield, MN).
