Newberry Panthers (Newberry, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Port Wolf Pack (Ocala, FL), 61-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Newberry upgrades its record to 18-4 on the season. The Panthers host Fort White (Fort White, FL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 14-4. Fort White won 89-41 in their recent non-league bout against Bronson (Bronson, FL)

Next up, the Wolf Pack clash with the Lake Weir Hurricanes (Ocala, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. West Port will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 74-39 non-league loss to North Marion (Citra, FL).
