In Thursday's league outing, the Richard Wright Public Charter School Spartans (Washington, DC) basketball squad nipped the host Washington Leadership Academy (Washington, DC), by a margin of 43-42.

The Spartans (1-10) will now prepare for their outing against BASIS (Washington, DC). The Red Giants go into the PCSAA A outing with a 1-12 record. In their last outing, BASIS was tipped by KIPP DC Legacy College Prep (Washington, DC), 67-54, in a league outing.

The now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to SEED DC for a PCSAA A outing on Friday, January 27. Washington Leadership Academy will clash with a squad coming off a 56-46 league win over Washington Latin Public Charter School (Washington, DC). The record now stands at 19-3.
