In Thursday's non-league outing, the Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE) basketball squad felled the host Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE), by a margin of 44-36.

The Cougars (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Fillmore Central thwarted Gibbon (Gibbon, NE), 58-28, in a non-league outing.

The Mustangs now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Wilber-Clatonia for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 7.
