California High School Basketball - Atascadero knocked off by Santa Maria

January 26, 2023: Santa Maria, CA 93454

The Santa Maria Saints basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Atascadero Greyhounds to 31 in the Saints league triumph on Thursday.

The Saints now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Luis Obispo for a Ocean contest on Monday, January 30. Santa Maria will meet a Tigers team coming off a 42-39 league win over Lompoc (Lompoc, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-11.

The Greyhounds (2-19) will now prepare for their contest against Pioneer Valley (Santa Maria, CA). The Panthers enter the Ocean contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Pioneer Valley ran past Templeton (Templeton, CA), 47-38, in a league contest.
