Becton Wildcats (East Rutherford, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Lyndhurst Golden Bears (Lyndhurst, NJ), 40-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Becton upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Wildcats host St. Mary (Rutherford, NJ) to clash with the Gaels in a North Jersey - Meadowlands B bout on Monday, January 30. The Gaels go into the bout with a record of 0-7. St. Mary lost 62-11 in their recent league bout against Wood-Ridge (Wood-Ridge, NJ)

Next up, the Golden Bears clash with the Weehawken Indians (Weehawken, NJ) in a North Jersey - Meadowlands B bout, on Monday, January 30. Lyndhurst will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 46-24 non-league win over McNair Academic (Jersey City, NJ).
