Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Fort Cherry trounces Carlynton

The Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) basketball crushed the host Carlynton Cougars (Carnegie, PA), 49-17 in Thursday's league test.
The Rangers (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Brentwood (Pittsburgh, PA). The Spartans go into the WPIAL 2A 2 test with a 6-7 record.
The Cougars now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they travel to Northgate for a WPIAL 2A 2 test on Monday, January 30. Carlynton will encounter a Flames squad coming off a 55-7 league loss to Burgettstown (Burgettstown, PA). The Flames record now stands at 2-12.
