In Thursday's league match, the host Weaver Beavers basketball team scored a tight 29-22 triumph over the Classical Magnet Gladiators.
In their next game, the Beavers meet the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets (Windsor, CT) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 7. Weaver will attempt to better on its 8-3 season record.
With the defeat, Classical Magnet moves to 5-5 on the year. The Gladiators host Parish Hill (Chaplin, CT) to meet the Pirates in a Capitol Region match on Tuesday, January 31. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 6-6.
