Colorado High School Basketball - Lewis-Palmer thwarts Discovery Canyon

January 26, 2023: Monument, CO 80132

The Lewis-Palmer Rangers (Monument, CO) basketball knocked off the visiting Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO), 50-38 in Thursday's league test.

The Rangers (6-12) will now prepare for their test against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Kadets go into the 5A/4A Pikes Peak test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Air Academy went down by Lutheran (Parker, CO), 73-52, in a league test.

The Thunder now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Palmer Ridge for a 5A/4A Pikes Peak test on Wednesday, February 1. Discovery Canyon will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 50-48 non-league loss to Mesa Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO). The Bears record now stands at 15-3.
