Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Totino-Grace Eagles (Fridley, MN), 83-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elk River upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Elks travel to Centennial (Circle Pines, MN) to play the Cougars in a AAAA Section 7 bout on Monday, January 30. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Centennial won 78-30 in their recent league bout against Coon Rapids (Coon Rapids, MN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights (St. Louis Park, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Totino-Grace will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Red Knights go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 88-77 non-league win over Waconia (Waconia, MN).
