Freedom Irish (Freedom, WI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Waupaca Comets (Waupaca, WI), 100-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Freedom upgrades its record to 16-1 on the season. The Irish travel to Little Chute (Little Chute, WI) to play the Mustangs in a North Eastern bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 2-11.

Next up, the Comets play the Oconto Falls Panthers (Oconto Falls, WI) in a North Eastern bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Waupaca will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 50-39 league loss to Marinette (Marinette, WI).
