In Thursday's non-league match, the host Freehold Boro Colonials basketball team scored a tight 39-32 victory over the Raritan Rockets.

The Colonials now possess a 3-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Matawan Regional for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 31.

The Rockets (3-12) will now prepare for their battle against St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Lancers come into the Shore B - North battle with a 20-0 record. In their last battle, St. John-Vianney edged Ewing (Trenton, NJ), 58-45, in a non-league battle.
