The Plainfield Panthers (Central Village, CT) basketball nipped the host Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT), 34-32 in Thursday's league test.

The Panthers (7-7) will now prepare for their test against Waterford (Waterford, CT). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, Waterford was tipped by Killingly (Killingly, CT), 46-25, in a non-league test.

The Wolverines now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lyman Memorial for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Griswold will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 66-41 non-league loss to Windham (Willimantic, CT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-4.
