St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ), 71-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. John-Vianney upgrades its record to 19-0 on the season. The Lancers travel to Ewing (Trenton, NJ) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 17-1. Ewing won 69-21 in their recent league bout against Nottingham (Hamilton, NJ)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Red Bank Catholic Caseys (Red Bank, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 28. Holmdel will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Caseys go into the bout with a 17-1 record after their 56-42 league win over Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ).
