Jemez Valley Warriors (Jemez Pueblo, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Legacy Academy Silverbacks (Albuquerque, NM), 47-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Jemez Valley upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Warriors travel to Santa Fe Prep/Santa Fe Waldorf (Santa Fe, NM) to play the in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Santa Fe Prep/Santa Fe Waldorf lost 42-29 in their recent non-league bout against Cottonwood Classical Prep (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Silverbacks play the Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM) in a A District 7 bout, on Saturday, January 28. Legacy Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Leopards go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 39-30 league win over New Mexico School for the Deaf (Santa Fe, NM).
