The Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Mancelona Ironmen to 28 in the Cardinals league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pellston for a Ski-Valley contest on Wednesday, February 1. Johannesburg-Lewiston will meet a Hornets team coming off a 63-16 non-league loss to Engadine (Engadine, MI). The Hornets record now stands at 1-12.

The Ironmen (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI). The Snowbirds enter the Ski-Valley contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, St. Mary Cathedral ran past Pellston (Pellston, MI), 67-9, in a league contest.
