Juniata Valley Hornets (Alexandria, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels (Houtzdale, PA), 40-25 in a league bout.

With the victory, Juniata Valley upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Curwensville (Curwensville, PA) to play the Golden Tide in a Inter County - North bout on Monday, January 30. The Golden Tide come into the bout with a record of 0-13. Curwensville lost 92-32 in their recent league bout against Bellwood-Antis (Bellwood, PA)

Next up, the Black Knights/Damsels play the Mount Union Trojans (Mount Union, PA) in a Inter County - North bout, on Monday, January 30. Moshannon Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 0-14 record after their 51-35 league loss to Glendale (Flinton, PA).
