Port Allegany Gators (Port Allegany, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Kane Wolves (Kane, PA), 43-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Port Allegany upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Gators host Coudersport (Coudersport, PA) to play the Falcons in a North Tier bout on Monday, January 30. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 12-3. Coudersport won 45-25 in their recent league bout against Northern Potter (Ulysses, PA)

Next up, the Wolves play the Ridgway Elker (Ridgway, PA) in a Allegheny Mountain bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Kane will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Elker come into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 42-11 league loss to St. Marys (St. Marys, PA).
