North Carolina High School Basketball - Louisburg topped by Northwest Halifax

The Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team scored 41 points and restricted the host Louisburg Warriors to 32 in the Vikings non-league victory on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wilson Prep for a 1A Conference 9 contest on Friday, January 27. Northwest Halifax will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-43 league loss to Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 1-11.

The Warriors (1-17) will now prepare for their contest against Southern Nash (Bailey, NC). The Firebirds come into the 2A/3A Conference 17 contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Southern Nash prevailed over Roanoke Rapids (Roanoke Rapids, NC), 53-47, in a league contest.
