Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA), 56-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Marquez upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Gladiators host Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a Southern bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Elizabeth won 34-24 in their recent league bout against Maywood Academy (Maywood, CA)

Next up, the Toros play the Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA) in a Southern bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Torres will attempt to upgrade on its 4-18 season record. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 34-27 league loss to Bravo (Los Angeles, CA).
